Wedding Day Hair Products

secrets to lasting style on your big day

Whether you're getting your hair professionally done or doing it yourself - these products are a MUST to use on your wedding day!

No matter what type of hair you have - this is not the day to use silky leave in conditioners and shine products. How can that be you say?! You want TEXTURE and GRIP! You do not want silky or "slippery" hair. I have so many friends that say their hair doesn't hold curl or style, so they don't even attempt it! It's because they are not using the right products! Curl will not hold if you're using a ton of smoothing and shine products - it just won't. If you have frizzy/curly hair I would recommend using these products and taking the extra time on this day to use a big round brush and blow dry it section by section instead of slathering on the smoothing products.

If you are getting your hair professionally done, they usually will not be washing and drying it for you. You will probably show up with it washed and blow dried, and they will take it from there. These are the products you need to use before and after you blow dry so all that money you are paying your stylist is worth it!

I used these EXACT products on my wedding day (I actually use them anytime I go out or take the time to style my hair) and my hair lasted all day and night.

I get all of these products at Target or CVS

1. Shampoo and Condition with Tigi Bed Head Superstar

2. Apply Tigi Bed Head Superstar Queen For A Day Thickening Spray to your roots

3. Spray Tigi Bed Head Superstar Volumizing Leave-In Conditioner all over like you normally would a leave in conditioner

4. Rub a teeny tiny pea sized amount of Tigi Bed Head Small Talk into the palms of your hands and apply all over hair

5. Comb through so all products are evenly dispersed

6. Blow dry as usual

7. Spray a light coat of L'Oreal Elnett Hairspray all over hair. Flip head upside down and do a light coat underneath as well. Wait a minute for it to dry, then brush through. (This is my secret to really making sure your curls last - I do this religiously every time I curl my hair)

You may have some big poofy hair at this point - and that's a good thing! The styling tools you or your stylist choose will do all the smoothing and shining you will need! They may even spray some kind of heat protectant spray - and that is totally fine. The grip and texture you have added to your hair with these products will be the reason your hair holds curl and style the entire night.

Remember - don't overdo it with the products! You don't want to weigh your hair down! I never saturate my hair and I'm constantly making sure it's even and not concentrated in certain areas.

Good luck and here's to gorgeous hair on your big day!! XOXO
